The
aim of MIDES is to enable acute services to test their
Major Incident Plan in a constructive manner. The kits
contain all the necessary resources to achieve this,
which will save the time and money of creating and setting
up your own.
MIDES is split into 2
categories, Visual and Business Continuity.
MIDES
Visual is based on the use of a generic Hospital
Emergency Department and along with other aides it allows
to view how the flow into, around and out of the department
operates.
MIDES
Business Continuity is
for discussion-based sessions, and as such does not
use any visual or recording tools. MIDES BC focuses
on running the hospital and determining when the hospital
is suffering from a Major Incident.
